Vol. VIII

A Glimmer

WRITTEN BY JENNIFER K J TAYLOR, COVER PHOTOGRAPHY BY ASHUNI LUCÍA PÉREZ

Searching for the end of that which is coveted

Hoping that it's not just another story

Made up. Pretend.

Running for days, months, years.

Minutes tick but it never appears.

A cloud, empties its contents.

Flushing out the remnants of last month's desires.

Hope, shattered. Dreams, lost.

Going to shine in parallel next time.

A flick of the wrist, marks its conclusion

A turn of the page, the endless delusion

That someday it might just come

Blindingly.

Beams of bright white promise coalesced.

A storm, they say, always leads to a rainbow

A glimmer is all that's needed.
